Episode 15 Loss during the Pandemic
Michael Keeney, an award-winning fitness expert, manager and educator, living in NYC during the peak of the pandemic received a call from his mother that his dad had fallen ill. Michael’s gut told him something did not seem right, he packed up, put on his protective gear, and boarded the next plane out to South Texas. In just a couple short weeks his father was diagnosed with cancer and passed away. Michael learned some of the most important life lessons through this experience and shares these with the audience.
In this episode you will learn these “totally rad” tips:
- How vulnerability builds trust and empathy, improves self- awareness, and increases potential for growth
- How a strong support network, practicing gratitude, and persevering through the 12 steps of AA can help with the bereavement process.
- How forgiveness restores relationships, restores positive thinking, offers a greater sense of hope, and allows for better ways of managing stress.
